Passionflower Chapter

Come join us at the Passionflower Chapter! We host a variety of educational program meetings every other month, featuring expert guest speakers who cover native plant knowledge, wildlife gardening, and critical conservation issues. These sessions are a fantastic way to expand your knowledge, meet dedicated people, and learn how to transform your landscape.

There are many ways to get involved and enjoy the outdoors with our community:

 

Field Trips

We typically explore pristine natural areas and beautifully landscaped sites on Saturdays or Sundays. It’s the perfect way to learn about local natural communities while connecting with fellow plant lovers.

 

Plant Rescues

Become a Plant Warrior! Our dedicated rescue group meets every Thursday morning in the Clermont area to save native plants from sites slated for development.

 

Community Events

We host gardening days and outreach events to support our local habitats.

 

Outdoor Activities

Improve your health and connect with the earth through kayaking, hiking, and biking while observing local plants and wildlife.

 

Meetings and Activities

The Passionflower Chapter holds program meetings every other month and takes a break during the heat of July and August. 

Our meetings are held in a variety of locations around South Lake County, but look for more meetings to be held in 2027 at our new home in the historic Train Depot in downtown Clermont. (490 West Avenue, Clermont, FL 34771)

All Passionflower Meetings and Activities are Free and Open to the Public.

Our educational program meetings feature guest speakers who give presentations on a variety of topics, including landscaping, attracting wildlife, native plant knowledge, and conservation issues.

Field trips to interesting natural and landscaped areas are generally scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays and are a fun way to enjoy the outdoors while learning about native plants and natural communities.

Program meetings and field trips are usually scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of the month at 9:30am, but days and times can vary.  Gardening days, plant rescues, and other work days are scheduled intermittently.
